A product of architectural artisanship.

Conceived by the visionaries at ClarkeHopkinsClarke, Burke Place’s design presents a modern reference to the unique heritage of Kew. Portraying a strong, linear form with considered proportions, the facade was crafted to age gracefully with time, and to naturally embed itself into the urban fabric of the locale. Capitalising upon the residences picturesque surrounds, leafy terraces enable sweeping views of the suburb, creating an unrivalled backdrop for outdoor living and entertaining. Generous floor plans structure each residence, a suite of connective spaces running through the apartments to evoke a sense of arrival upon return.

“Our design narrative starts with a clear sense of arrival, a feeling of luxury, community and connection. It then evolves into an experience of comfort and permanence that can only come from a place that is designed to be a true home.”

Considered interiors, meticulously appointed for luxury living.

Drawing on the hallmarks of a traditional Kew home, Burke Place’s interiors depict a matchless standard of understated luxury, concurrently replicating the forms seen in the architecture. It’s clear every feature has been considered and appointed with intent, from the immaculate finishes in the bathrooms to the rich timber joinery in the kitchens. The result is an amalgamation of luxury, longevity and permanence – spaces designed to outlast trends and mould effortlessly to the lives of their occupants. In the living rooms, expansive windows welcome an abundance of sunlight, also enabling a seamless visual connection to the outdoors and an aura of warmth throughout.

Nights of old-world entertainment await you.

The historic charm at the heart of this domain is epitomised by the Rivoli Cinemas on Camberwell Road. Established in 1940 and then refurbished in 2000, the venue’s Art Deco design creates an experience similar to that of a glamorous night out in Paris. Equipped with eight spacious theatres, the cinema screens contemporary and art-house films, a generous in-house bar at your beck and call. For a bit of pre or post-movie fun, nineteenforty is situated above the cinema, a retro rooftop bar serving vintage cocktails, tasty bar snacks and a variety of gourmet popcorn (rocky road flavour included). Against a backdrop of panoramic views and the neon ‘Rivoli’ sign, the space pays homage to the cinema’s proud history, capitalising upon what makes this suburb so charismatic.

A bountiful retail sector, lead by one iconic market.

Every Sunday morning, without fail, a soft thrum reverberates through the streets of Camberwell. It’s the sound of invaluable treasures being purchased, of patrons bartering tactically with traders and of hot jam donuts being fervently consumed. From dawn til midday, Camberwell Sunday Market takes spread on the corners of Burke and Riversdale Road, as it has for upward of 43 years. Vintage clothing, books, records and crockery are just some of what is to be discovered here; alongside quirky gems you simply won’t find elsewhere. One of the largest of its kind in Australia, there is an atmosphere here that cannot be fabricated - one that is only enhanced by serenading buskers and other forms of live entertainment. Plentiful and eclectic, to live close to this teeming bazaar is to be sincerely blessed.
